My Synopsis:

Andi is a bad girl. Other parents and kids don’t like her from the way she spray paints the brick walls on her way to school to the pink streak in her dark brown hair.

What people don’t know is that she is trying to change her image from a graffiti bad girl to a kind city girl who pets kittens all day. Well, she would pet kittens all day if it wasn’t for her allergies.

When a family tragedy comes out of the middle of nowhere, Andi has to change everything about her. Her hair, her style, even her everyday life like she wanted to in the first place.

She isn’t really sure where life will take her, but it will take one step at a time.

The Real Deal:

“My father disappeared on a Tuesday that should’ve been like any Tuesday, but eventually became the Tuesday my father disappeared.”

Tired of living in limbo, Callie finally decides to investigate her father’s disappearance for herself. Maybe there was an accident at the construction site that he oversaw? Maybe he doesn’t remember who he is and is lost wandering somewhere? But after seeing a familiar face in a photo from the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, she wonders if the answer is something else entirely.

Hailed by Judy Blume as a “remarkable young novelist,” Kristen-Paige Madonia, author of Fingerprints of You, explores how to rebuild a life after everything seems lost.

Verdict:

The real book actually does sound really good and I really want to read it. Man, there are so many books on my TBR list now. Luckily, I can use some of my WIFSY ideas for Camp Nanowrimo! There are so many to choose from.

I got my idea for my synopsis from looking at the cover. I think the setting may be in New York and I thought it was about a girl who spray paints on her way to school and she is always late. I really like my synopsis though and I really like the real one too.

Have you done “WIFSY” this week? What do you think about Invisible Fault Lines?

  1. I love your synopsis! Even if it wasn’t close, I like the fact that your idea is the complete opposite of mine! I guess the grass does always look greener on the other side, right?
I’m so glad that WIFSY is giving you ideas for NaNoWriMo! A couple of the synopsis I wrote are future stories that I want to write too:)

    • Thanks! I read your synopsis too and I would read it if you wrote it! Whenever I read other people’s it makes me want to read the book and then I realize that it wasn’t the real thing. 😀 Thanks again Sophie!
