Hello everyone! It has seemed like forever since I have done another “WIFSY,” but the time has arrived again for me to do another one and I am so excited!
“When I First Saw You” was created by Sophie @ Sailing Through Books and it is co-hosted by Izel @ A Bookish Flower. Now, it is a monthly link-up where Sophie and Izel give you FOUR book covers and you get to make up your own synopsis based on the cover of the book.

Title: Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit
Author: Jaye Robin Brown
Publisher: HarperTeen
Expected Publishing Date: August 30th, 2016
my synopsis
Sabrina Meyers works at her family’s farm, Sunshine Acres, in Atlanta, Georgia. She spends every single day picking delicious fruits and vegetables with her mom, dad, and her younger brother Timothy, or who Sabrina calls Stub.
When financial situations pop out of the blue and rumors about the farm start to spread, Sunshine Acres starts to go downhill. Sabrina wants to help her family in the best way possible, but she isn’t sure how she can help.
With the help from Stub, her best friend Nita, and the cute rodeo boy who lives down the road, Sabrina and her friends try to bring Sunshine Acres back to the way it was before everything happened.
the real deal
Joanna Gordon has been out and proud for years, but when her popular radio evangelist father remarries and decides to move all three of them from Atlanta to the more conservative Rome, Georgia, he asks Jo to do the impossible: to lie low for the rest of her senior year. And Jo reluctantly agrees.
Although it is (mostly) much easier for Jo to fit in as a straight girl, things get complicated when she meets Mary Carlson, the oh-so-tempting sister of her new friend at school. But Jo couldn’t possibly think of breaking her promise to her dad. Even if she’s starting to fall for the girl. Even if there’s a chance Mary Carlson might be interested in her, too. Right?
verdict
I am just going to say that I was not even close to the actual synopsis of the real story. Based on the cover of the book, and I was not judging what-so-ever, I was picturing my synopsis, a city girl moving to the country, or a modern-day Sleeping Beauty retelling.
I have never finished a book like Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit, but I may have to check out the actual book sometime. I mean, it has a modern-day situation in it and people will really connect to the book.
OMG! Cute synopsis! 🙂 Definitely the cover is misleading! I mean, you’ve read mine and you saw how off I was. 🙂 LOL! Good one!

Thank you so much Spuds! The cover is misleading. You would think it would be a country story, but it isn’t. Thanks! You too!

At least you got a setting right, right? Atlanta? GOOD JOB! 😀 But to be honest, I’d much rather read the book that your synopsis tells – I don’t know why, but I feel nostalgia from reading your synopsis, and would love to feel that whilst reading an entire book!

Thanks! I have to admit that it is really cute. Yes! It would be so cool as a summer read or a summer movie! 😀 I can just imagine that. *sighs happily* It is very misleading. Haha!
