When I First Saw You #7

29843-when-i-first-saw-you-logoHey everyone! I am back and ready to post some posts! August has been a horrible posting and reading month for me. I have only read two books and I have only done a few posts. I think it is four, but I am not really sure. Anyway, I am back again with another post!

If you have no idea what “When I First Saw You” is, it is one of my favorite link-ups hosted by the amazing Sophie @ Sailing Through Books and co-hosted by the wonderful Izel @ A Bookish Flower! It is super fun and it is completely free for everyone to do. Let’s get started, shall we?

my synopsis

Sofia Wong’s whole entire life has been a mysterious and a whole lot of lies. Sofia grew up being a normal child, roaming through the woods at midnight, riding majestic horses through the fields of her father’s kingdom. What Sofia doesn’t know is that everything can change in the blink of an eye.

When Sofia wanders into an abandoned library in the middle of the night, she meets Edward Van Shu, the most famous wizard in all of the land. Edward Van Shu is also known as, “The Reader.”
He has somehow knew Sofia’s secret all along even though they have never met before. Sofia has powers that can get out of control. She can use them in a good way, but if she gets her powers into the wrong hands, the whole world will be in peril.

With a magical map, Sofia’s undiscovered powers, and help of some weird and majestic friends, Sofia will have to uncover the mystery of the sea, the ink, and the gold.

the real deal

Sefia knows what it means to survive. After her father is brutally murdered, she flees into the wilderness with her aunt Nin, who teaches her to hunt, track, and steal. But when Nin is kidnapped, leaving Sefia completely alone, none of her survival skills can help her discover where Nin’s been taken, or if she’s even alive. The only clue to both her aunt’s disappearance and her father’s murder is the odd rectangular object her father left behind, an object she comes to realize is a book—a marvelous item unheard of in her otherwise illiterate society. With the help of this book, and the aid of a mysterious stranger with dark secrets of his own, Sefia sets out to rescue her aunt and find out what really happened the day her father was killed—and punish the people responsible.

verdict

These covers were actually really hard! I really did like having a challenge though. I picked The Reader because it instantly spoke to me and I knew that I could do something with it.

I really like my synopsis, but the real deal sounds really awesome and action packed. If you all don’t know me, I love action. Everything that I love is action packed. It is probably because I have read so many dystopian novels. Anyway, I really loved having a challenge and I will definitely read this book when it comes out!

  1. It’s so cute how we always pick the same covers in coincidence! 🙂 Love your synopsis! I could use some romantic epic fantasy, maybe that will get me to read fantasy books more. 🙂 Looking forward to more of your posts! 😀
