The Sunshine Blogger Award

You know, sometimes I get tagged for tags and awards and I just picture a whole awards show for all of the people who have been nominated.

Crazy huh?

sunshine-blogger-award

I was recently tagged for the Sunshine Blogger award by N and L @ Page Pixies! Thanks so much! Their blog is amazing and if you haven’t checked it out yet you should. I mean, everything about that blog is awesome and they are both really sweet and kind. Also, their posts are amazing! Everybody wants amazing posts in their feed! Unless you are an amazing post hater. That would be rude, so don’t hate amazing posts.

The Rules

Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you.

Answer the eleven questions that were given to you.

Nominate new blogs to receive the award and give them eleven new questions.

The Questions:

1) What time period do you wish you could live in?

I like the early days, like the early 1900’s. Something about back then is just really cheerful. After reading The Invention of Hugo Cabret, which is a really fantastic book by the way, I just want to live in London, England around the time period of the early 1930’s.

2) How long have you been book blogging and what is the best / worst part about it?

Stepping away from book blogging for a few minutes, I have been blogging for about two or three years. I used to have a lifestyle blog and I loved it so much, but when I started to read all of these book blogs I really wanted to start a book blog. I love books and I have loved them for my entire life, so I decided to give it a shot! So far it has been a joyride.

The best part about book blogging is that you get to connect with other people who really like books. You get to meet friends and see what kind of genres they like. I don’t really think there is a bad part about book blogging, but right now I would have to say the haters. Even though nobody has ever commented something rude on my blog I still think it is the worst part of book blogging.

3) If you could choose one author to read for the rest of your life, who would you pick and why?

This is a very hard question because I love so many authors. However, my favorite author of all time is James Dashner. After reading The Maze Runner series in a total of two months, I have fallen in love with his books. It seems like they love me back, so that is good.

4) What is one thing on your bucket list?

Hug Niall Horan.

I know that I don’t say this a lot because this isn’t a One Direction blog, but I love Niall Horan. He is my cute Irish cupcake even though he doesn’t know that I am over in my room, fangirling about everything that he does. I just want to hug him and I will not give up on that dream just yet.

5) What fictional world would you choose to live in?

The Glade, hands down.

WHAT?! I WANT TO MEET THE GLADERS SO BAD! Sure, I see memes all of the time that are like, “Nope, we’re good! Go have a fun time in Narnia and Camp Half-Blood! We’ll be sitting here waiting for the Glade to become a safe place for all of us to live in!”

You can’t just sit and wait for something to happen! You have to get up and go for it! Sure, something may come out of the woods and get you, but it should be fine.

6) What are some of your bookish pet peeves?

I hate it when people say they are fans of the series, but they have only seen the movies. I hate it when the cover of my book is bent. Seriously, I have panic attacks. Well, sort of. Not all of the time. I hate it when my bookmark is starting to tear and things like that, but I just want to thank metal bookmarks for always being there for me.

Thank you.

7) Would you give up all electronics or books?

To be honest, I can live without TV. I can’t live without music and I can’t live without blog posts, but maybe I can find a messenger bird or something like that to type up my posts for me.

THERE IS NO WAY THAT I CAN GIVE UP BOOKS! NO WAY JOSE!

 8) Are you a night or day person?

It is weird because I can’t read when it is light outside. I am a night owl. I read at night and I do everything at night.

There is nothing else to say.

9) What mythical creature would you choose to be?

Well, I like unicorns. I want to be the unicorn on those IceBreakers commercials. I mean, those are the best commercials in the world and I love them so much. They just tell you that nothing is impossible! YOU CAN DO IT MY FRIEND!

To sum it all up, I would love to be a unicorn.

10) If you had to give up two of five senses, which would they be?

Well, I can’t give up my eye sight because I love to read and I never want to stop. I can’t give up my taste because I love chicken and I will miss chicken forever. I am not going to give up my sense to smell because what if I ate something that was spoiled and it smelt really bad?!

I would have to say hearing and touch.

Sure, it seems weird and all, but it honestly isn’t that bad. I wouldn’t have to hear the sounds of nails on a chalkboard anymore, we all hate that, and touch was my second guess because I was running out of senses.

11) How did you start to love reading?

Well, I was in kindergarten and most of the kids there read picture books. You know, because we were all little and we were all new to this reading books thing. Suddenly, my teacher picks three students, me and two other boys, and she takes us on a trip to the library.

When we got to the library, she led us to a shelf of easy to read chapter books. Looking back at it now, I would have been thrilled to learn that I was the only girl in my kindergarten class to be reading a chapter book. In conclusion, I got a chapter book, it was a part of the “Ready, Set, Freddy!” series, and I read it for a long time.

To be honest, I love reading and I always look back on that day whenever I read a book. It makes me happy and my insides get all fuzzy inside.
