The Chainsmokers Book Tag

Happy 2017 everybody! I think we all know that The Chainsmokers, or TCS for short, have taken the music industry by storm with their hit songs with Halsey, Daya, Phoebe Ryan, and so much more! I have to say that their music is beyond amazing and they have the perfect dance party songs that are perfect for any occasion.

And guess what? There is actually a tag! And it was created by Katya @ Kat Reads A Lot and Maria @ Little Livres! WHAT?! I AM FANGIRLING ALL OF A SUDDEN! If you would love to do this tag, here are some things that you may or may not want to do before you do the tag.

  • Post a blog post or a video (YouTubers you are welcome to do this tag! Hiii *waves hand*)
  • You can copy the song lyrics so people can know where the questions are based on. For those without lyrics, we based it on the title. #Genius
  • Tag friends to do the post as well!
P.S. You don’t have to be tagged to do this tag! Just give it a try!

I am super excited to start this tag and I really don’t want you to keep on waiting because I am rambling your ears off. Here are my answers for The Chainsmokers Tag!

Roses

A book series that you didn’t want to end.

I rarely read series. I am mostly the standalone kind of gal, but if I were to choose a series that I didn’t want to end I would have to say James Dashner’s Maze Runner series. I mean, it had a super fluffy ending! After reading The Fever Code, all of my needs are satisfied and I need no more. James Dashner, if you are reading this maybe you can write some kind of extension to the series about what happens next to my favorite characters. In the meantime, I’ll be sitting at the park, drinking chocolate milk from a fancy mug while I read the series over and over again.

Don’t Let Me Down

An upcoming book you have high expectations for.

I think that the upcoming book that I have high expectations for is A List of Cages by Robin Roe. It is about a boy who has ADHD and he serves as the school’s assistant psychologist. Adam thinks he has it made. Then the doctor tells him to find a troubled teen who keeps dodging her. Adam has to go find the dodging teen, which happens to be his foster brother who he hasn’t seen in five years. I think that it is going to be a beautiful story.

Inside Out

A book with a beautiful cover and a beautiful story.

To be honest, I love covers. If the book has a super boring cover that looks like it was made on one of those cheap picture apps, there is probably no way I am going to read it unless the synopsis intrigues me. If it has a stunning cover, I am bound to read it. I think that is one of the reasons why I love Lucy Keating’s Dreamology. It has a beautiful cover and the story is so stunning.

I mean, come on!

This cover is so stunning. *swoons*

Until You Were Gone

A book you read when it wasn’t even trending anymore.

To me, this question is one of those really hard questions where you try to remember, but you can’t even remember. I mean, I think my brain is still working right. I would have to say Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games series because I remember finishing the series when “Mockingjay Part 1” or “Mockingjay Part 2” was hitting theaters. I can’t remember because it was last year, but I was so obsessed with the series and everybody else was like Elsa. You know, the past is in the past and let it go!

Closer

A book you wish you hadn’t read

I went to a huge library haul three weeks ago and I got The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis. I heard some mixed reviews about it and I was glad to have it in my hands. However, the whole first half of the book was full of kissing and teens doing irresponsible things and I was like…

idek-when-ill-use-this

I think that the GIF above sums me up as I was reading this book. To be honest, I didn’t even finish it because I had this face on once everything started happening, but after seeing some of the spoilers for the book I wish I kept on reading. Maybe when I get older I’ll try it out again.

 Waterbed

A book that gave you SO MANY feels.

THE FEELS, MAN. I think that ever since I started this book blog I have been saying that sentence nonstop. I mean, I practically own it. I should put it in a frame or something.

This year, many books have gave me feels. Very few of them gave me extreme feels. I think that it is very hard to choose, but if I had to choose one I would say Brian Sleznick’s, The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Sure, you may be saying so many things right now just because I chose this particular book. It may have not gave the feels to you, but it gave extreme to feels to me that I may or may not have been trying at one in the morning.

Bye. I’m going to cry now just talking about it.

Kanye

An expensive book that you need right now.

Since it is so close to the holiday season, we are talking about two days until Christmas here, I am not going to buy books until some time in the distant future. I guess that I would really love Ransom Riggs’s, Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series. I mean, he’s one of my favorite authors and I love him so much. Plus, the series is super interesting and the movie will make you swoon and break into a million pieces.

It is just that good. We also need Enoch’s accent in our lives.

UPDATE: I GOT THE SERIES MY FRIENDS AND I NEED THE NEW BOOKS THAT ARE COMING SOON BY RANSOM.

#SELFIE

A photogenic book.

In my opinion, I think that Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi is definetaly a photogenic book. It was so fun to take pictures of and I had this perfect picture of it, but I guess I deleted it. That made me so sad and so mad at the same time.

Anyway, Furthermore is so magical and so weird at the same time. Overall it had such a beautiful story and it has became one of my new favorite books. If you are a fan of Alice in Wonderland and Narnia, you are certainly going to love Furthermore.

Good Intentions

A book with a lot of good reviews and you think that you’ll like it too.

Do you know how much love To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han has been getting? A LOT. Do you think that it makes me want to read it so bad? Um, YES.

As I spend my time browsing the internet for random reviews of books that I may or may not read in the future, I saw this book and immediately fell in love. I think that I am really behind on the fandom for this book because this book was published two years ago. *sighs*

I think that I will love this book because it looks fluffy like cotton candy and I really like cotton candy. I think that sums it up right there.

New York City

A book you stayed up all night for, perhaps in tears.

This is going to sound really evil and I’m going to be the bad guy here, but I barely cry over books. I think that I need some touching books that make me burst into tears in front of 50,000 people. Just tell me in the comments below and I will obviously listen.

I would have to go with The Invention of Hugo Cabret because I actually did cry and I was a terrible wimp that didn’t stop talking about it for a week or two.  I’m weird like that, but we are all mad here so…
